Rock guitarists have been obsessed with delay in its many forms since Cliff Gallup achieved that ultra-cool delayed-echo effect on the first few Gene Vincent albums in the mid-Fifties.
But, along with delay, they've also longed for reverb, that wonderful effect that makes things sound so much warmer, friendlier and twangier, all while fooling your poor brain into thinking you're rocking out in a fan-packed stadium.
With that in mind, a group of Guitar World staffers, including (of course) Technical Editor Paul Riario, have assembled a list of 20 of the best delay and reverb pedals on the market today.
